Job Summary
The On-the-Job (OJT) Trainer is a hands-on role responsible for providing direct, practical training to new hires and existing employees across various departments. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with the ability to effectively mentor and guide trainees. The OJT Trainer will ensure a consistent and standardized learning experience for all trainees, maintaining a maximum trainee ratio of 1:4.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Hands-On Training: Conduct one-on-one and small-group training sessions in the work environment to teach job-specific skills and processes.
Mentor Trainees: Guide and support trainees through their learning journey, offering constructive feedback and answering questions to ensure they achieve proficiency.
Maintain Training Standards: Ensure all training activities align with established company procedures and best practices, contributing to a standardized and high-quality learning experience.
Proficiency in All Departments: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all departmental functions and workflows to effectively train employees across the organization.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of trainee progress, performance, and feedback. Communicate regularly with the Training Lead on training outcomes and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications
Proven expertise and proficiency in all relevant company departments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to teach complex information clearly.
Experience in a mentoring, coaching, or training capacity is highly desirable.
Ability to adapt training methods to suit different learning styles.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Proficiency in Warehouse SWIs and MHE certifications a plus.
