Job Overview
Client is seeking a highly skilled Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Developer to lead development and management activities for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform projects. The selected candidate will support full lifecycle solution delivery, serve as the SME for D365 development efforts, and ensure adherence to compliance and governance standards across the Commonwealth.
ResponsibilitiesLead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, implementation, and support for D365 and Power Platform solutions
Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for all D365 development activities and issue resolution
Customize, configure, develop, deploy, and manage Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
Troubleshoot and remediate technical issues across the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 ecosystem
Prepare solution mockups and prototypes aligned with business needs
Develop documentation including requirements, recommendations, and technical analysis
Support solution management, reusable components, and environment variable configuration
Act as liaison between VITA and customer agencies for issue logging, tracking, and resolution
Provide guidance on appropriate use of PowerApps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, and alternative technologies
Ensure adherence to governance, best practices, licensing compliance, and VITA standards
Experience working in a Microsoft GCC tenant
Strong development experience with model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse
Familiarity with Commonwealth of Virginia IT governance, policies, and architecture standards
Experience with managed/unmanaged solutions and reusable components
Prior experience supporting Virginia state agencies (Highly Desired)
Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Field Service, or Sales modules
Proficiency with custom connectors, Azure Functions, and API integrations
Knowledge of role-based security for Power Platform and D365
Experience with data migration tools and processes
Experience using DevOps for Power Platform (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models for D365 and Power Platform
