Job Description

• Location: Richmond, Virginia (Office location)
• Work Arrangement: Remote
• Contract: This is a Contract position.
• Mode of Interview: Web Cam Interview Only .
• Note: While remote, the candidate must be able to pick up equipment IN PERSON if selected. The candidate must physically reside within the US. Local Richmond candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Architecture

• D365/Power Platform Expertise: Spearhead the development and management of solutions utilizing model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse .
• Customization & Configuration (8+ Yrs): Implement and customize D365 Forms, Views, Plug-Ins, and Workflows. Expertly utilize standard and premium connectors with PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Integration: Proficiency with custom connectors, Azure Functions, and API integrations . Familiarity with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services.
• Solution Management: Implement best practices for solution management (managed/unmanaged), environment variables, and reusable components.

Lifecycle & Governance

• Project Support: Aid in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and support of D365 and Power Platform solutions.
• SME & Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact and SME for all D365 development efforts. Function as a liaison between the agency and customer agencies, assisting customers in discerning the appropriate technology offerings.
• Governance & Standards: Define and refine a governance approach for the platform's use and ensure solutions adhere to VITA standards and Commonwealth of Virginia IT policies.
• Security: Strong knowledge of role-based security configuration and Microsoft's licensing model for the platforms.

Required & Desired Experience

Minimum Experience

D365 Dev

5 Years

Experience as a Power Platform/D365 Developer and creating/managing solutions using Dynamics 365 CRM Customer Service .

Customization

8 Years

Experience with Forms, Views, Plug-Ins, Workflows customization and implementation.

Power Stack

5 Years

Extensive experience with model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate , and Dataverse .

Advanced Tools

2 Years

Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio .

Cloud/Compliance

3 Years

Experience working in a Microsoft GCC tenant . Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services.

DevOps (Desired)

2 Years

Experience with DevOps tools for Power Platform/D365 Environments (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Agency (Desired)

3 Years

Prior work experience with Virginia State Agencies .
