Data Engineering & Analytics Consultant

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering & Analytics Consultant with strong hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, developing analytics solutions, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have 4 5 years of experience with advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience working with modern data engineering tools and cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Work closely with business and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop high-quality Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and analytics workflows.
• Optimize and write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
• Manage and process large datasets using distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Databricks, EMR).
• Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring dashboards.
• Develop and maintain data models, tables, and schemas to support business intelligence needs.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionize machine learning features and pipelines.
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure timely delivery of data to downstream systems.
• Follow best practices for version control, documentation, and code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and analytics.
• Strong expertise in Python (Pandas, PySpark, Airflow, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hive, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL/ELT, star schema, normalization).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in large enterprise environments, ideally with Apple or similar global tech clients.
• Knowledge of dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD workflows (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
